Nova's Favorite Things

Trying to find new things for your pup? Check out Nova's favorites below.

Pedigree Dentastix

So, Nova is an eight year old Siberian Husky. In order for her to stay happy and healthy, I wanted to make sure she had a way to keep her teeth clear of plaque build-up. Cue the toothbrush. I thought about brushing her teeth, but she's a drama queen and would not allow that. I went on a search to fine the best (and tastiest) way for her to keep her teeth healthy.

Pedigree dentastix fresh mint flavor are her favorite in the morning. She actively takes them and play s with the dentastix prior to eating it. She'll run from room to room trying to hide it and store it for later. This is normal husky behavior. They "store" things like squirrels do for winter. For me, it's a daily scavenger hunt that she didn't tell me about.

Squeaking Chipmunks

Nova is not a fan of chipmunks, at all. She is always chasing and hunting them in the yard and on our walks. So when I was looking through toys on chewy.com and saw a chipmunk toy, I just had to buy it for her. At first, she was scared of the new toy (miss drama queen) but when she decided it was time to play, she really got into it and started to drag the toy all over the living room. She figured out how to detach the chipmunks from the log and was playing with the chipmunks without the log. Overall, it was a successful toy purchase, thanks Chewy.

Meat Jerky

Now I know every dog is not able to eat people food, but Nova is and she loves beef jerky. Like loves it so much she will also accidentally eat your finger if it's too close to her mouth. I also have special dog treats that are duck jerky which she loves. She's always requesting those when she comes inside from the backyard.

Neighborhood Walks

Although this is not a thing you can buy, this is one of her favorite things we do together. She enjoys going on walks and smelling everything (like most dogs). She even begs us for walks throughout the day by howling, putting her nose on our faces and pouncing on us (yes, like a cat pounces).
